Mental Health Is Everyday Health
World Mental Health Day reminds us of something that should remain important every day: mental health is health.
We routinely schedule physicals, monitor blood pressure, pay attention to pain, and seek medical care when something doesn’t feel right. Our emotional health deserves that same attention.
Mental wellness can include therapy, medication management when appropriate, support groups, exercise, healthy boundaries, rest, meaningful relationships, and learning new ways to cope with stress.
You don’t have to wait until you are in crisis to seek support.
Preventive mental health care can help people recognize patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and address concerns before they become overwhelming.
Flourish Reminder: Caring for your mind is part of caring for your whole self.
