Overdose Awareness: Remembering Lives and Supporting Recovery

Aug 31
1 min read

International Overdose Awareness Day is an opportunity to remember those whose lives have been impacted by overdose while continuing the conversation about prevention, treatment, recovery, and hope.

Substance use disorder is a health condition—not a moral failure.

Stigma can prevent people from asking for help, talking openly about substance use, carrying naloxone, or accessing treatment.

We can help change that.

Learning the signs of overdose, knowing how to respond, keeping naloxone available, and connecting individuals with appropriate treatment and recovery resources can save lives.

Recovery may look different for each person, and setbacks do not erase progress.

At Flourishing Minds Wellness Center, we believe every person deserves dignity, support, and another opportunity to flourish.

Flourish Reminder: Recovery is possible. Compassion saves lives.
