Latarsha Reeves,
CMT, ADT, CEO and Founder
Meet Latarsha Reeves, CMT, ADT, CEO and Founder grew up with a deep sense of compassion and a drive to make a difference in the lives of others. Latarsha’s journey into the world of mental health began at an early age, sparked by personal experiences that underscored the importance of emotional well-being.

Latarsha dedicated herself to her academic pursuits, continuing her education pursuing a degree in social work. During Latarsha’s academic journey, Latarsha developed a profound interest in the intersection of psychology, sociology, and community well-being.
​
With a strong academic foundation, Latarsha Reeves embarked on a professional journey that would shape her destiny. Latarsha gained invaluable experience working in various mental health and social service roles, including mental health billing, human services, director of finance and PRP program director. This hands-on experience exposed Latarsha to the real challenges individuals and families face when dealing with mental health issues.

In 2022, Latarsha took a courageous step by founding Flourishing Minds Wellness Center, a mental health agency with a vision to provide comprehensive, holistic, and compassionate care to individuals and families. Latarsha’s mission was clear: to create a safe and nurturing space where people could seek help without stigma and find a path to healing.

Under Latarsha's leadership, Flourishing Minds Wellness Center has flourished, earning recognition for its commitment to holistic mental wellness. Latarsha’s tireless efforts have expanded the agency's reach and influence, with a focus on community outreach and support. Latarsha firmly believes in the power of empathy and understanding in the journey to mental well-being.
Latarsha has been an advocate for the homeless, providing clothing, food and resources for individuals that have barriers associated with mental health. Latarsha Reeves’s journey continues to be one of unwavering commitment to the cause of mental well-being.

Tia Dowdy
RN- Registered Nurse
Treasurer
Meet Tia Dowdy, a RN- Register Nurse, with a unique blend of healthcare expertise and financial acumen. Tia brings a multifaceted approach to the field of substance abuse treatment and mental health treatment. With a bachelor’s in nursing Tia is equipped to navigate the complexities of addiction recovery, mental health and patient care with a keen understanding of financial management.
Tia’s transition to nursing was driven by a passion for making a meaningful impact on individuals struggling with addiction. Over the years, Tia has gained valuable clinical experience in addiction recovery, developing a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care. Tia believes in treating the whole person, addressing both their physical and emotional needs.
Tia’s commitment to staying current with the latest developments in addiction treatment and dedication to providing nonjudgmental, evidence-based care have enabled me to help countless individuals on their path to recovery.
Tia strives to leverage her financial background to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of addiction treatment programs. Tia’s mission is to provide support, compassion, and expertise to those battling addiction, empowering them to overcome their challenges and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Tia currently serves as Tresurer.

Jasmin L. Turner,
MA, LCPC, CCTP, RPS - Substance Use Program Director / OMHC Therapist
Meet Jasmin L. Turner, MA, LCPC, CCTP is a trauma-informed mental health professional with over eight years of experience across outpatient, residential, community-based, and telehealth settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University and is currently pursuing certification as a Registered Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT). Jasmin integrates a holistic, somatic, and movement-based approach to therapy, with specialized expertise in trauma, crisis intervention, substance use, and child and adolescent mental health.
Her work includes supporting survivors of human trafficking and facilitating therapeutic movement groups for incarcerated women and at-risk youth. As the IOP/PHP Program Director at Flourishing Minds Wellness Center, Jasmin is passionate about advancing trauma-informed, equitable, and healing-centered care for individuals of all ages. She is deeply committed to pestorative practices and looks forward to using her leadership to grow and strengthen the program.
Fun Fact: Outside of work, Jasmin enjoys attending musical theater plays, teaching and choreographing dance, and is a proud wife and mother of three girls.

Saidah Spinner
LCSW-C- Adult and Minor Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist / Program Director
Meet Saidah Spinner , LCSW-C, Adult and Minor Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist and Program Director. HBCU trained, Licensed Therapist and Rehabilitation Counselor. Saidah focuses on supporting you through the journey of healing your whole self. Saidah’s eclectic approach centers on mental wellness and addressing the foundation of your barriers.
With a belief in uplifting the mind and healing the body- Saidah combines her expertise in therapy with mindfulness practices. Her compassionate approach fosters a safe space for clients to explore and address mental health challenges. Saidah's dedication to treating each individual comprehensively, considering emotional and physical aspects, reflects her commitment to promoting lasting and transformative healing experiences.

Aisha Bloomfield
LCSW-C – OMHC Therapist
Meet Aisha Bloomfield, LCSW-C, a licensed clinical social worker with over five years of
experience supporting adults, children and families. Specializing in mood disorders, trauma, and family issues. Aisha uses a client centered and trauma informed approach to help clients build resilience and improve their wellbeing. Aisha holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Maryland.
She is trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. She is also a certified trauma professional.
Fun Fact: Outside of work, Aisha enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Anika Green
MSN PMHPNP- Medical Director
Meet Anika Green, BSN PMHPNP- Medical Director, a dedicated and compassionate
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience serving adults and adolescents in a variety of mental health and substance use settings. Her journey in nursing began at Baltimore City Community College and continued through the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she laid the foundation for a career focused on healing and advocacy. Anika’s clinical path has included impactful roles at respected institutions such as Sheppard Pratt, LifeBridge Health, Gaudenzia Rehabilitation Center, and MedStar Hospital. In 2022, she earned her PMHNP from Walden University, solidifying her commitment to providing comprehensive psychiatric care. Known for her holistic, client-centered approach, Anika emphasizes both evidence-based treatment and the importance of human connection in the recovery process.
Currently serving as the Medical Director of Flourishing Minds Wellness Center, Anika leads with vision and compassion—overseeing clinical operations, mentoring providers, and ensuring high-quality, integrated care for individuals navigating mental health challenges and substance use recovery. She is passionate about reducing stigma and expanding access to culturally competent care in underserved communities.
Fun Fact: Outside of her professional role, Anika finds joy in swimming, traveling, country music, and staying active through fitness. Her well-rounded life and warm presence inspire both her clients and colleagues to strive for wellness in every form.

Jennifer Gribble
CPRS – Certified Peer and Case Manager
Meet Jennifer Gribble, a CPRS- Certified Peer and Case Manager, passionate about supporting others on their recovery journey. With lived experience and professional training, Jennifer understands the challenges that come with mental health and substance use struggles, and is committed to helping others find hope and healing through peer support.

At Flourishing Minds, Jennifer has the privilege of offering peer-to-peer support, helping clients navigate their personal recovery paths. She believes in the power of shared experience, and I work to create a safe, empathetic space where people feel seen and supported.
Fun Fact: Outside of work, Jennifer has a passion for experimenting in the kitchen. Whether it’s trying new recipes or baking fresh bread, it’s a great way to get creative and share with others, I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places. There’s something so inspiring about experiencing different cultures and gaining new perspectives.

Karin Peoples
MS - Residential Director
Meet Karin Peoples, MS- Residential Doctor, passionate advocate for healing, empowerment, and second chances. She currently serves as the Residential Director at Flourishing Minds Wellness Center, where she oversees daily operations, supports a dedicated team, and ensures a safe, nurturing environment for women in recovery.

With over a decade of experience in youth development, behavioral health, and trauma-informed care, Ka’Rin brings a multifaceted background that spans public schools, the juvenile justice system, and therapeutic support for youth survivors of human trafficking. She holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Juvenile Justice and a minor in Psychology. In addition to her academic training, Ka’Rin is a certified teen life coach and holds multiple credentials in trauma-informed practices, therapeutic crisis intervention, and restorative justice.

Her work is deeply rooted in her commitment to uplifting women and children—creating spaces where they can feel seen, heard, and supported as they heal and grow. Ka’Rin believes in the power of reflection, resilience, and relationships, and she approaches each day with the heart of a mother, mentor, and advocate.

Fun Fact: Ka’Rin is a proud mom of three girls and a sunflower enthusiast who finds inspiration in the way sunflowers rise and follow the light—just like the women and youth she serves.

Jaleesa Mallory
Office Manager and Community Engagement Specialist
Meet Jaleesa Mallory, Office Manager and Community Engagement Specialist, a dedicated mental health advocate with a strong background in community outreach, program coordination, and holistic wellness engagement. With years of experience supporting behavioral health and family studies, she has developed a passion for connecting underserved communities with life-changing resources.

At Flourishing Minds Wellness Center, Jaleesa serves as the Office Manager and Community Engagement Specialist, where she leads the development of community partnerships, plans culturally grounded wellness events, and promotes access to mental health services across Baltimore and beyond.

Fun Fact: She’s a proud mom of two youth athletes; She has a love for the arts and often incorporates creative expression into her wellness outreach—from reiki/sound bowls to music and movement.

Dawn Makel
ADT- Addictions Counselor
Meet Dawn Makel, ADT- Addictions Counselor, a 57-year-old mother of six—five daughters and one son—an adoptive parent, and a proud grandmother. For over 22 years, she worked as an office manager in a dental practice, where she developed strong administrative and leadership skills. Although that career provided stability, Dawn felt a deeper calling to serve others in a more purposeful way.
That calling led her to the field of peer support. After completing specialized training, she became a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and began supporting individuals on their recovery journeys. Her passion for helping others inspired her to continue her education at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), where she pursued credentials to become a Certified Addictions Counselor. Dawn also held the designation of Alcohol and Drug Trainee as well as Certified Peer Recover Specialist.
At Flourishing Minds, Dawn serves as an Addiction Counselor, a role that brought deep meaning and fulfillment. Dawn firmly believed it was never too late to follow one’s calling and remained grateful for every opportunity to grow and give back.

Fun Fact: Dawn enjoyed spending her downtime in pajamas, happily watching YouTube videos for hours.

Meet Trinara Jones, Human Resource Specialist, a dynamic and results-driven Human Resources professional with a proven track record of fostering organizational growth through strategic people management. With over 15 years of healthcare experience across diverse industries, she has led initiatives in talent acquisition, project management and performance management, HR policy development, and workforce planning.
Whether navigating complex employee relations or leading change management efforts, Trinara brings a thoughtful, solution-oriented approach to every challenge.
